Peace reigned in Mushroom Kingdom.  It has been a few months since The Mario Brothers
had helped Sonic and Shadow collect the Chaos Emeralds in Mario's dimension.  An evil
mechanized clone of Sonic had tried to sieze the emeralds for itself to gain ultimate power,
but with the help of The Mario Brothers, Sonic and Shadow thwarted the metal killer and
helped save not only their own world, but Mario's World as well.  When Sonic and Shadow
finally left Mario's World they left something unintentionally unchecked.  Something that
could the destruction of both worlds.  When Turbo Mecha Sonic had warped to Mario's World
he left the rift open between the two worlds.  Sonic and Shadow never knew of this, so
they didn't know to do anything about it.  Of all the in Mario's and Sonic's worlds, the two
biggest threats to both worlds were meeting each other in secet.  They were about to
unleash a plan that could mean the end both Mario and Sonic.  "So these emeralds have
unlimited power?" asked a wide eyed Bowser.  "Yes my reptilian friend." replied Eggman.
"Together we could easily collect them and use their power to rule over both our worlds!"
"An interesting proposition Eggman, but what if you decide to betray me after I collect all
your precious emeralds?  Why should I trust you?!" Bowser growled at him.  "Because I am
a man of my word.  To show you how trustworthy I am I shall give you a gift that will
undoubtablely increase your power tremendously."  Eggman disappeared from Bowser's
view  and went into his lab.  He pulled out a tiny box from inside a huge safe with many
various locks and security devices.  He walked back towards the rift between himself and
Bowser.  "Catch."  Eggman threw the tiny box towards Bowser into the rift.  The box
popped out on Bowser's side where he caught it in between two of his large claws.
"What's this?" Bowser asked as he opened the box up to inspect what was inside it.
"It's an experimant I've been working on.  It's a pill that contains Sonic's DNA.  His DNA
contains all his powers and since that pill has his DNA it supposedly has all his powers
within it.  All you have to do is swallow it and you will have his speed and some control over  
the Chaos Emeralds."  "Sounds good to me!" Bowser said as he tossed the pill into his
mouth and swallowed it whole.  In a flash of light Bowser's form changed to that of a
hedgehog.  His fur a dark green color with his quills a red-orange color.  His tail grew out to
be three feet with two spikes at the end.  His claws though not as long as they were in his
last form were as sharp and deadly as ever.  The horns a top his head were still cleary
visible poking out of the quills.  The color of his eyes glowing a deep blood red color. All was
silent till Eggman heard Bowser start laughing.  "This power is simply incredible!"  Bowser
flexed his claws and moved his tail from side to side.  Bowser slammed his tail into the
ground leaving a rather large indention.  Looking towards the stars he got an idea of
something he wouldn't be able to do until just now.  "Eggman I know of something that will
make our domination of both worlds even more complete.  Like your seven Chaos Emeralds
they're are seven objects of power in my world too."  "What could rival the power of my
Chaos Emeralds?"  "In my world the objects of power are Crystal stars."  "Stars?! Stars are
nothing more the giant gas balls that are suspended in space!"  "In my world they are the
objects of power and they have escaped my grasp for the last time!"  "Fine. Go and collect
your stars.  Whatever helps us to our goal must be worth something." sighed a frustrated
Eggman.  Bowser turned from Eggman and started out towards Star Haven where the Star
Crystals were located.  'Now I will have power in case that fat fool decides to betray me.'
Smirking with an evil glint in his eyes Bowser sped up eager to claim his prize of power.  
Fortunatly, Mario and Luigi were visiting an old friend in Star Haven.  His name was Geno.
Geno wasn't really a person.  He was a gaurdian of Star Haven that had been sent to
collect the Star Crystals to help repair what he called the Star Road a few years ago. During
his journey with Mario he took the form of a wooden doll and returned to Star Haven after
he had recovered all of the Star Crystals.  The only thing he wore was a blue cape with a
blue hood that was always worn on top of his head.  Like the doll his body was wood.  In a
fight his fists could fly from his wrists to strike out at his opponents and they always
magically reappeared attached to his wrists whether he had missed his target or not. "Musty
be boring being all alone around here." said Luigi.  "Yes, but I much prefer this peace then
having to search a whole world for Star Crystals." replied Geno.  "Bowser hasn't done
anything in awhile now." Mario said.  "He must be planning something big this time."  "I
dount that it Mario.  He isn't the brightest tool in the shed." said Luigi as he knocked on his
making a hollow sound with his mouth making it seem as there wasn't much up there.  "Oh
really?" growleda voice from behind.  The trio spun around expecting to see the giant koopa
king, but instead saw a dark green colored hedgehog around Mario's height.  "Who in Star
Haven are you?!" exclaimed a surprised Mario as he stared at his new foe.  "You don't
recognize me?  I'm hurt Mario. NOT!  It's me worm! The koopa king Bowser!  How do you
like my new form?  It's given me great power and with it I will steal the Star Crystals!  With
their power I will be invincible!  Mwhahahaha!  Now hand them over or suffer a most
agonizing death!"  "There are three of us and one of you.  Do you really think you can take
us all on when you lose to my brother on a regular basis?  Even with your increased power
theres no way that you could take all three of on and still win!" Luigi said as he took a
fighting stance along with Mario and Geno.  "Fools!  I'll show you what I can do!"  Bowser
roared as he disappeared from the sights of Mario, Luigi, and Geno.  "Where'd he go?"
Luigi felt the air rush out his lungs as he fell to his knees holding his stomach.  "His speed
is amazing...." Geno muttered to Mario.  "It'll be to keep up with him." agreed Mario.  "What
do you think now Luigi?"  "I think you need to stop holding back if your going to beat us!"
Mario yelled as he jumped forward and hit Bowser with a kick. Bowser staggered backwards
and regained his balance only to be hit with a flying fist from Geno.  "This is going to be
more fun then I thought!" Bowser roared as he rushed back into the fray.
